Wordle in the classroom

Tonight after school I attended a workshop on using Wordle in the classroom. Technology is always so amazing! I'm constantly blown away by new ideas and teaching tools.  Tonight I created one to use tomorrow... We are learning action verbs right now. i plan on having the students color in all of the action verbs. You could also have them color verbs one color and nouns another, etc.....

Wordle can be used many other ways as well....back to school get to know you activity (words to describe them), character traits, vocab words, spelling words, synonyms, write autobiography about themselves...copy and paste into Wordle...compare and contrast themselves with others, etc.

The presenter of the workshop showed ths examples of synonyms

Magnificent Me....At the beginning of the year the students wrote an autobiography.  I copied their writing on transparency film. The students then cut around it and added it to their magnifying glass.

Happy Birthday Blog!

Hello everyone!  I have always wanted to create a teaching website, but have never taken the time to find a domain and get things started. I'm snowed in today and decided to start a blog! Thanks for stopping by. Through this blog I hope to meet new people and share and gather new ideas.   Be patient with me as I try to figure it all out. Any tips would be great!:)
